Yes, I think kererū are graceful birds, too. They seem so regal when they're perched high up in trees - especially when the pīwakawaka are 'playing' around them!
Thanks, Gillian - I hope to do my count today, and maybe one in the local park later this week. From day one we decided we wanted to create bird habitat, and it's been such a joy seeing numbers grow!
Tui and Piwakawa are definitely my favorite.
Although the Kereru to me is a very graceful looking bird. I love its beautiful colours that blend into each other so beautifully.
