There is a lot to do in the garden, and itās hard to do any of it because I keep getting distracted by the birds! Both my cameras are now constant companions when I go out to garden because Iām bound to see something I want to photograph.
Over the weekend I began scything the front meadow. I took a walk around the garden first and thought I might start pulling the grass out of the flower border, or perhaps trimming the edges of the mÄra kai (food garden), or weeding the tunnelhouse ā oh, and the tulips need to be dug up and moved, and I still havenāt planted our new pear and feijoa trees (thereās new growth showing on all of them so they seem to still be okay in their pots).
Eventually I figured Iād do some scything because itās a task I donāt have to think about; I donāt have to make any decisions. Itās justā¦
