I couldnāt find a good vantage point to photograph either of them, but never mind: the kÅwhai tree will be in bloom soon and that will bring some opportunities. My studio is an excellent shooting location because its windows are higher than the tree and means I can kind of hide from the birds. The highlight of todayās morning walk was seeing a dragonfly! I saw some last summer, but not during spring. I took a few photos and then left it alone.
