It’s so often I hear the phrase ‘where has time gone?’ lately. Strong memories are connected to moments with strong emotions, and strong sensory experiences, but our lives have become so busy and automated that rarely stop and really experience things.
I try so hard to not let my whole life feel like it’s whooshing past me. Spending time in the garden, just sitting and breathing in the life around me, is one way I do this. Photography helps, too, as you have to be totally focused on the subject and settings, and what you are trying to achieve with the finished image. I also punctuate my daily life with small holidays and daytrips to remind myself that there is actually a world outside of my little work-home-garden existence.
But the month of March really did pass me by.
