Good afternoon!
What is your season like? We have been enjoying lovely sunny days with crisp, frosty mornings. There are many birds around, though the butterflies have disappeared for the winter.
I’m a bit later than usual today as I’ve been facing decision paralysis over what to write about! I found a wee leaf-veined slug living under a log in my ‘sanctuary’ and an endemic forest shield bug hiding out in the woodland shade; plus, my hellebores are in bloom! But, on reflection, the time I most enjoyed was sitting in the garden and drawing.
I’ve attempted nature journalling a few times and, prompted by my friend Katie Wilson (the talented nature illustrator behind In My Backyard) have also dabbled in drawing en plein air - outside.
