Mōrena on this beautiful Tuesday!
Continuing with practical steps to help pūrerehua (butterflies) this I ❤ Butterflies Week here’s your quick email to celebrate and take care of our little winged friends.
Step One
This weekend (17 & 18 February) is the Big Butterfly Count. I’ve been helping behind the scenes, and am looking forward to getting out and about to do some 15-minute counts.
Get ready for the big weekend by downloading the app. Tap the button below to get links for Apple & Android or search “ButterflyCount” in your app store (look for a purple & white logo).
Step Two
… and in the garden, why not take some time to sit outside and notice what butterflies you see? Most of us will recognise the white butterfly, and the large orange monarch. Do you spot any admirals, little orange coppers, or tiny blue butterflies flying near the ground?
I hope you are enjoying I ❤ Butterflies Week with me.🦋
