It always takes a while for me to re-orientate myself with the garden after being away from it for long (‘long’ here is defined as anything more than two weeks). I feel like everything’s behind, and everything needs to get done right now. I also have usually been doing some reading, or listening, or watching and have learnt a bunch of stuff. So not only am I behind with my plans, I also have new plans on top of that!
My last break was no exception. The season is on my side, though, as weeds don’t grow back five minutes after pulling them out (I remember in spring my husband complaining that he’d just mown the lawn and it already needed another cut like two days later!).
